Adams Telephone Co-Operative Awards College Scholarship to Local Teen

Adams Telephone Co-Operative sponsored a college scholarship program to award a $500 scholarship to a local high school senior.

 

The winner of this year’s scholarship is Kelly Costigan. Kelly will graduate from Unity High School this month, and plans to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia majoring in Nursing.   She has been recognized as a Student of the Month, Academic All-Conference, and the Society of Academic Achievement. She has participated in numerous extracurricular and volunteer activities. Kelly is the daughter of Patty and Curtis Lieurance and Pat Costigan.

 

“Adams Telephone Co-Operative historically has been very involved with our youth and schools from ensuring access to the technology needed today to providing opportunities such our Scholarship and Youth to Washington programs,” comments James W. Broemmer, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Adams. “Our commitment to our communities begins with our young people.”

 

Information about the Adams Telephone Co-Operative’s annual scholarship for 2012 will be released late in the fall. Through Adams’ partnership with the Foundation for Rural Service, applicants have the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship of $500 or $2,500.
